It has been a good year for the tourism industry in our municipality. Record-breaking tourist arrivals, the opening of new destinations for hikers, and the continuous improvement of accessibility to our tourism sites clearly reflect the steady growth of Sigay as an emerging destination.
These achievements would not have been possible without the collective efforts of all stakeholders. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the community who warmly welcomed visitors, to the national and local tour organizers who promoted our town, to the dedicated tourist jeep drivers and tour guides who ensured safe and memorable experiences, and most especially to the Local Government Unit of Sigay, headed by our Chief Executive Hon. Carlo Crisanto Peredo, for its strong leadership, vision, and unwavering support for tourism development.
Because of this shared commitment, Sigay has gradually been put on the tourism map, gaining recognition not only for its natural beauty but also for the hospitality, resilience, and unity of its people. Tourism has created opportunities, strengthened local livelihoods, and inspired pride in our cultural and natural heritage.
As we welcome the coming year, we remain hopeful and optimistic. May it be even more productive, sustainable, and inclusive, as we continue to develop our destinations responsibly, protect our environment, and work together toward making Sigay a model of community-based and eco-tourism in the region.
